Outsourced jobs are outsourced so they can be done in foreign countries with cheap foreign labor. There is no gain in the productivity of domestic workers, they are just out of a job. Nor is importing of cheap labor an incentive to improve the productivity of the domestic workforce, quite the opposite. on the economics of globalization.
